Power Affects The Quality of The Laser Beam

How to choose a laser pointer

A laser pointer is a tool that uses a laser as an indicator. The length that can be indicated is relatively long. It can replace pointers and other pointing tools. It can also be used for playing slides such as ppt for instructions. You can use red, green and blue laser pointers.
Using a laser pointer, the light spot can be seen tens of meters away, so the laser pointer is often used as an indicator. Most current laser pointers are red, green and blue are relatively few and expensive. The red laser pointer is easier to make, with a wavelength of about 600 nanometers, and has mature technology and mature semiconductor process materials. The wavelength of the green laser is about 530nm. At present, the semiconductor laser technology in this band is not very mature, so the green laser pointer is expensive and has low power.
In general, the difference is the process, power (brightness), and color. As for blue, there should be finished products, but it is definitely not cheap, not to mention yellow ones. These are closely related to the development of materials. Without the development of materials to that extent, there will be no blue and green lasers.

How to choose a laser pointer, LD (bulb) quality, lens quality, laser crystal quality, laser pointer power affect the quality of the laser beam, should pay attention to the following points when selecting:
1. Observe the light spot carefully in a dark place. If there is obvious flooding around the laser spot, it means the lens is not qualified;
2. Observe whether the light spot is a perfect solid dot;

3. Carefully observe whether there will be a problem of light and dark when the laser is emitted. If so, it indicates that the LD has a problem.
4. If it is a laser pen with lower power (below 20 milliwatts), you need to observe whether the brightness when the laser is just emitted will become darker and brighter again. If so, it means that there is a problem with the laser pen's circuit or LD.
